Meta Description: Star Wars Legion is back at Nerd Haven Games with a focused restock on May 27, featuring the Separatist Alliance Starter Set, new card packs, and a fresh re-ignition of local interest in the game.
Hello there, hobbyists!
The wait is finally over. If you’ve walked past our miniatures section lately and felt a disturbance in the Force, like millions of voices suddenly crying out for more plastic soldiers, you aren’t alone. We’ve heard you loud and clear: Star Wars Legion is returning to Nerd Haven Games in a more focused way.
Whether you are a loyalist of the Galactic Empire, a freedom fighter for the Rebellion, a tactical genius for the Separatist Alliance, or a defender of the Galactic Republic, it is time to dust off those range rulers and clear some space on your painting desk. We have a focused restock arriving this Wednesday, May 27, and it should be ready for you to check out by Thursday morning.
This wave is less about a giant wall of product and more about a solid re-ignition of interest in the game here at the shop. From starter options to fresh card packs and support for organised play, there is plenty to be excited about. So, grab a glass of blue milk, settle in, and let’s dive into what’s coming to our shelves this week.
A Galaxy of New Arrivals: The Separatist Alliance Starter Set
For Separatist players in the community, this restock is especially nice because we are bringing in the Separatist Alliance Starter Set.

If you’ve been Legion-curious or looking for a cleaner way to jump back in, this is exactly the kind of product we like to see in a focused restock. It gives newer players a straightforward on-ramp, and it gives returning players a solid place to rebuild from without needing to chase down a pile of separate boxes right away.
That is a big part of why this wave feels like a re-ignition for the game at Nerd Haven. It is not about flooding the shelves just for the sake of it. It is about getting key items back in place, making it easier for people to start armies, refresh collections, and actually get games happening again.
The April 2026 Rules Refresh: What You Need to Know
If you’ve been out of the loop for a few weeks, you might have missed the April 2026 Rules and Points Refresh from Atomic Mass Games. This was a significant update designed to tighten up the competitive balance and add a bit more flavour to certain factions.
Here are the highlights of the changes that we’ve been discussing around the tables here at Nerd Haven:
1. The AI Rework (Droids just got... more droid-like?)
The way Artificial Intelligence (AI) works for droids and vehicles has seen a clever change. Previously, the AI rules were a bit more static. Now, they function in a "hybrid" way based on the unit's status.
- Operating at Peak Efficiency: If your droids are healthy, unsuppressed, and not damaged, they use the modern, more flexible AI rules, allowing them to act with more autonomy.
- Under Pressure: However, once a unit becomes suppressed or heavily damaged, they revert to the "old" AI rules. This means they must perform their AI-listed action first (usually an attack or a move) or lose an action. This adds a layer of tactical depth, your opponent can now "break" your droid's coordination by focusing fire and laying down suppression.
2. Improvised Orders Tweak
The staple command card Improvised Orders has seen a bit of a nerf. It is now a 1-pip card, and you can only include a single copy in your deck. Most importantly, it no longer readies itself immediately. This change honours the need for more careful planning in the command phase, rather than relying on a constant "redo" button for your activation order.
3. Wookiee Synergy
Good news for the fans of the walking carpets! Chewbacca has received a significant boost in utility. He can now join basically any Wookiee unit across both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Republic. If you’ve ever wanted to run an all-Wookiee vanguard with Chewie leading the charge in a Clone Wars-era list, now is your chance.
Fresh Tools for Every Faction: New Card Packs
Another exciting part of this wave is the arrival of the new card packs.

These are the kind of releases that quietly do a lot of work for a game community. Updated packs help players tighten up lists, refresh options across factions, and make it easier for newer or returning players to get current without feeling lost. If you have been watching Legion from the sidelines, this is one of those practical releases that makes hopping back in feel a lot smoother.
It also lines up nicely with what we want to do locally. We have a new weekly play kit on the way, and we are expecting weekly play to officially kick off in July. So while this restock is a smaller, focused one, it is also meant to help set the stage for regular Legion nights and get people excited to roll dice again.
Looking Ahead: June’s Mandalorian Wave
While we are excited about this week’s restock, we are already looking toward the horizon. June is set to be a big month for Legion, with a wave of Mandalorian-themed releases that are sure to get plenty of attention.
We are also expecting new Specialist Packs for the Imperial and Rebel factions, providing much-needed tactical options for those looking to fine-tune their core infantry units. We'll be opening up pre-orders for these very soon, so stay tuned to our social media and Discord for the exact dates.
